Microsoft changes the Windows Phone logo

The next major release of the Windows Phone platform is going to be called as the Windows Phone Mango and as Microsoft and it's OEMs prep things up to release the first slew of devices running on this version of the platform, it seems Microsoft have something coming along with it. The photo above (courtesy of Neowin) will be the Windows Phone's new logo. Compared to the previous logo that Microsoft had when the platform launched (until now) this logo is 2D and encompasses the platform's simplicity.

The first Windows Phone Mango device that is expected and scheduled to be launched will be made by Fujitsu-Toshiba. That same handset will first see the light o day in Japan which would coincide with the fact that the new WP logo is first seen in the Japanese Microsoft blogsite.

Oh, well, a move to simplify things with the logo is good for Microsoft. Anyway, however bland you see the 2D logo is it still carrier's the platforms ideology of being straight forward.

So, what do you think of the new logo? Hit the comments section below.
