Best Buy stops selling the HP TouchPad & HP offers refund to customers

When HP announced they will discontinue WebOS the techworld erupted with comments, opinions, and analyses. Since they already made a decision, stores selling WebOS products, like the HP TouchPad, have to make a decision too. Best Buy made one and has stopped selling the tablet, which I thought has great potential with WebOS 3.0 onboard.

Reports have it that Best Buy was struggling to sell even 10% of their TouchPad inventory. Add the fact that it will immediately have a negative effect on the market with HP's announcement, Best Bust did the right thing, to simply halt the selling, their is no point actually.

"You can still try to score one on the cheap straight from HP, but both the 16GB and 32GB models are currently listed as out of stock. Don't get upset if you already plunked down $400 for 10-inches of webOS goodness -- HP will refund you the difference. Call up the company or the retail partner you purchased it from, and ask. Just be prepared to sit on hold with all the rest of the folks trying to get their cash back." - Endgadget
