PHIL: Samsung Galaxy S (GT-i9000) Android Gingerbread update arrives in the Philippines

The Gingerbread update for the Samsung Galaxy S (GT-i9000) handset has finally arrived in the Philippines. I've started seeing tweets, status posts (FB), and plurks, of people who has the device that they have started receiving and have upgraded their devices to the latest version of Android available for smartphones. The 2.3.3 Gingerbread update is also reported by YugaTech, meaning he also received his own update for his GT-i9000.

So for those who have the Galaxy S (GT-i9000) in the Philippines, it is time for you to check out if you have the update for your device. Just make sure you are running the latest version of Samsung Kies on your PCs and it should notify you that an update will be available. My question is, since its 2.3.3 Gingerbread, does it include TouchWiz 4.0? (Comments are appreciated)

With regards to the Samsung Galaxy Tab (7-inch) a friend of mine have also received it. Will be blogging about it tomorrow and will be confirming it if it is really the Gingerbread update that the tablet seriously needs. [Update] It seems it wasn't Gingerbread at all. But will blog about the Gingerbread update arriving to the Galaxy Tab here in the Philippines.
