Sony Ericsson have announced the Xperia Arc and the Xperia Neo in the Philippines! Aside from being announced, both handsets also got their Philippine peso price tags. But we'll do this one phone at a time, first is the Xperia Arc.
The Xperia Arc which is actually one of the thinnest smartphones around have not yet been launched anywhere yet. The phone was taking your pre-orders from March 11 - 13 for P32,750. Amazingly, SE have put the Arc's price for only P29,990. Now I do not know why there is a difference between the pre-order's price and the announced price from SE and if you ask me that question, I'm sorry but I do not know the answer. The Xperia Arc's specs are listed below.
- Android 2.3 Gingerbread
- 8.7mm thinnest part
- 4.2" multi-touch screen display (854 x 480 FWVGA)
- Reality Display with Bravia® Engine
- 8.1 MP with Sony's Exmor R for mobile camera sensor
- HD video recording
- WiFi, Bluetooth, A-GPS, HDMI, DLNA, USB Port,
- 3.5mm headset jack
- Size: 125 x 63 x 8.7 mm
- Weight: 117 grams
- 1 GHz Qualcomm processor
- up to 32 GB of memory card support
The other SE handset that was announced is the Xperia Neo. SE have put a P22,750 tag price on the device. Not bad actually since the phone for me isn't mid-range or low-end, it's specs are considerably up there.
- Android 2.3 Gingerbread
- 3.7" (854 x 480) touch screen display
- 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor
- 8 MP rear camera with LED flash
- 2 MP front camera
- Sony Exmor R camera sensor
- Reality Display with Mobile Bravia Engine
- Built-in HDMI
Both phones are said to be arriving in to Philippine shores in April, that's next month.
