And lastly the HP TouchPad - dual-core 9.7" tablet running on WebOS 3.0

The last device and certainly not the least to be unveiled during HP's WebOS event was the HP TouchPad running not on WebOS 2.2, like the smartphones, but on WebOS 3.0 (maybe their version of Android 3.0 the tablet optimized platform).

The features of this tablet will really challenge all the current dual-core tablets that have been announced. It not only features a dual-core processor it also have that tap-your-pre3-on-me-and-i'll-give-you-the-url feature. Its like, if you need to go and you forgot to get a url that you were working on your TouchPad, all you need to do is tap your WebOS smartphone (like the Pre 3) literally on the device and the tablet will give the URL on to your phone. This may not be LG's Optimus Pad that packs 3D capabilities but this will definitely challenge all of those tablets.

HP TouchPad specs:

  • WebOS 3.0
  • 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon AP 8060 dual-core processor
  • 9.7" (1,024 x 768) touch screen display
