Soon, in February, during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, Samsung is to announce the successor of the world's most popular Android smartphone, the Galaxy S. Rumored to be the Galaxy S2 we have now reports saying that the smartphone will be christened with the name of "Seine".
Aside from the codename a Korean website got information of the phone's specs and some of them we already know.
The Galaxy S2 Seine will feature a 4.3" Super AMOLED Plus display with a screen reso of 800 x 480, Android 2.3 Gingerbread, NFC (Near Field Communication), an 8 MP rear facing camera, full HD video recording at 1080p, 1 GB of RAM, a dual-core Samsung Orion processor which is actually an ARM Cortex A9 based processor, and less than 9 mm thick device.
Based on the initial leaked specs of the phone, if true, it is going to challenge the powerful Motorola Atrix 4G.
I can't wait to see official press photos of the smartphone. I guess it will rock in design. February 13th, remember that date.
