Samsung Galaxy Player (YP-GB1) will be available for pre-orders starting Feb 4

Officially announced by Samsung and of course showcased at CES 2011, the Samsung Galaxy S (YP-GB1), the iPod Touch of the Android world, will officially start taking pre-orders starting February 4th until Feb 7th. This announcement came from Samsung and will only be happening in its home turf, South Korea. The Android powered Portable Music Player will be available in mid-February in both 8 GB and 16 GB versions. As to pricing, the device is pegged at 399,000 Korean Won for the 8 GB variant and 459,000 Korean Won for the 16 GB variant.




 Just a refresher, the Galaxy Player will be powered by Android 2.2 Froyo, a 1 GHz processor, 4" WVGA touch screen display (you won't get the Super AMOLED technology on this device), T-DBM, 3.2 MP rear facing camera, a front facing camera, HD Video playback, expandable external memory (microSD card slot), WiFi, and Bluetooth 3.0.
