Nokia to give Symbian a new look?

Nokia might have announced that they have partnered with Microsoft to make Windows Phone 7 their platform of choice in their next smartphone releases. Of course, eventually in the future, Symbian will be gone (I believe). Also, they cannot just abandon the platform just like that. They need to continue supporting it since millions of Nokia users around the world are still stuck on Symbian. So, what are they going to do in order to keep Symbian users happy?

Give the platform a new look! Nokia is scheduled to give the ecosystem a "major overhaul" which is due this this Fall.
"an update rumored to include a dedicated pull-down status bar up top; new iconography; new flexible widgets; a simplified navigation bar below; and better menus throughout that don't require a scuba suit to navigate." - Endgadget
Although the people in Finland, where Nokia's headquarters is, won't confirm what Marc Driessen, Nokia Benelux product manager, said.

There is one way to know if this is true, to wait. We wait until we get official word from the people in Finland.
