Acer's gigantic smartphone is headed to a carrier in the US within 2011

Remember this huge gigantic smartphone that Acer unveiled, yet still up to now unnamed, a few months back? Well, Acer announced during CES 2011 that the said "phoneblet" (as what Endgadget would like to call it) will be heading over to the US with a carrier that is yet to be named or known.

Endgadget was able to play around withe device over at Acer's booth at CES 2011 and noticed that their's sticker at the back of the device with a note that says WCDMA which obviously connotes that it will be going to a carrier in the US that has the WCDMA network. The question now is when will this be happening?

Acer also confirmed the theory and thought and have said that it will be offered soon (within this year) by a carrier that is also yet to be named. Since the phone supports the WCDMA network it is bound to either or both AT&T and T-Mobile.

The phone's OS is also said to be either Android 2.2 or 2.3 when it will be launched. Apparently, this phone is not yet on it's final stage of production since Acer is still thinking which OS will be ported into it. So far, what we know about the handset is that it will feature a 1 GHz snapdragon processor, a 4.8" high resolution 1024 x 480 with a 21:9 aspect ratio display. But of course, we will be waiting for final specs to surface with the smartphone. Until then, all we have to do is wait.
