Samsung unveiled their first Android based flip phone in China

Samsung is one of the leading phone manufacturers that have released tons of Android based smartphones, HTC is the other one. Most of the Android based smartphones you see are all touch screen phones, candybars or smartphones that have physical slideout QWERTY keyboards. What about something new?

The Samsung W899 is Samsung's first flip phone that is running on Android 2.2 Froyo. They unveiled it in China yesterday and will be available over at China Telecom soon.

The handset features not one but two 3.3" Super AMOLED displays on the outside and on the inside, runs on Android 2.2 Froyo, WiFi, WAPI, GPS, Bluetooth, 5MP camera with HD video recording, and a front facing VGA camera.

The phone is not yet confirmed to hit in Europe or in the US, so if you want to get a new kind of Android smartphone with two amazing Super AMOLEDs and with that gold accented case, then get it in China.
