Google Nexus S to start selling in the US on Thursday at 8am


We all know that the Nexus S will be available in the US this coming Thursday (Dec 16) as announced by Google and will be available over at Best Buy as the sole provider of the handset in the US. The handset when launched will be the first Android 2.3 Gingerbread handset in the world and will be the second "pure Google" phone after the Nexus One.




Best Buy have new information with regards to the availability of the handset. On Thursday, Best Buy will start selling the Nexus S in all Best Buy stores (US) at 8AM (local time). Online the phone will start selling also at 8AM Eastern Time. There will also be an imposed limit of only 2 handsets per customer. A first come first serve basis will also be followed. 

You can get the device tied up with a 2-year T-Mobile contract for $ 199 or get it unlocked for $529.

In the UK, as announced too, the device will be available on December 20th and after that to other markets too, like in Russia, where the Nexus S is reported to sport a Super LCD screen instead of the Super AMOLED.
