ViewSonic View Pad coming to the US


ViewSonic a company much known for their LCD TVs and screens are also in the tablet market with their View Pad. ViewSonic have made things official with the coming of the View Pad in US soil with two variants, 7 and 10' tablets.






In November ViewSonic will be launching their 2 tablets into the US market starting with the View Pad 7. The View Pad 7 will be running on Android 2.2 Froyo unlike it's bigger brother which will be running on Windows 7. The 7' tablet will feature two cameras at the rear (3MP) and on the front (VGA), 512MB RAM , 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and 3G capabilities. The View Pad 7 ill have a MRSP of $479.

For the ViewSonic View Pad 10, as the number suggest will be a 10' tablet with dual booting capability - Adnroid 1.6 Donut and Windows 7. The 10" tablet looks identical, literally, with the Tega V2 which has a 1.66GHz Intel Atom processor, 1GB of RAM,  and runs on Windows 7 Home Premium.  The 10" brother will retail for $629.
