During earlier's Facebook Mobile Event one of the things mentioned there was an update for Android's Facebook App. This is clearly in response to the new things that Facebook have unveiled for their Mobile website and the Facebook Places App.
They have announced that the Facebook app fro Android is getting an upgrade. Well, true enough that update is already released which is version 1.4.0 which now includes Facebook Groups and Places. So, finally it ain't the iPhone users who can enjoy Facebook's Places app then.
The changes (From DroidLife):
- Groups: share posts with small groups of friends
- Places: share where you are with friends, see where friends are, discover places nearby
- Improved Notifications: view comments and updates within the app
- Various bug fixes
