Apple's dead pixel rules leaked

BGR's source said that the internal policy on dead pixels on Apple devices' screens has been recently updated. The update gives Mac Geniuses a guideline whether or not they will replace the device with a dead pixel complaint from an Apple customer. Apple provides a tablet for these Mac Geniuses which clearly explains when or not a device is legible for replacement or whatnot. It's easy, for iPhones or iPods - just one pixel anomaly is enough for it to be repaired or replaced. For the MacBook Airs it's a bit complicated I'll quote BGR: "can have up to three light pixels, up to five dark pixels or up to seven combined anomalies before they should be repaired or replaced". Refer to the photo above to check the other line of devices from Apple and there acceptable pixel anomalies before they get to be replaced or repaired. Anyway, it's always gonna be replaced, you can't repair an LCD screen.
