At CES 2013, Acer is still in the tablet game of it all with their announcement of the Acer Iconia B1. It is poised to be the most inexpensive Android tablet you can buy with a brand on it (you, know a brand almost everyone knows). Acer did not say anything about its price though, unfortunately. Lastly, do not think that the Iconia B1 does not pack a punch when it comes to specs because it will be priced as low as Acer can put it.

The Sony Xperia ZL

Here's the other phone from Sony. This is the Sony Xperia ZL, announced together with the Xperia Z. Base on the specs, this device is the lesser of the two. It loses the dust and water resistant feature that the Xperia Z has, this is still a stunning device. It sports, also, a 1.5GHz quad-core processor and still has a 13MP rear camera capable of recording a full HD 1080p video. Like the Xperia Z, the ZL also sports a 5" Full HD 1080x1920 display and of course that Sony Mobile Bravia Engine 2.

Sony Mobile announced the Xperia Z

After a long break from those times when phone makers announce their babies to the world, at CES 2013, the Japanese brand, Sony Mobile, has announced and presented to the world their first ever, not to mention a brilliantly designed, quad-core smartphone. Dubbed as the Sony Xperia Z, this is one of the two variants of the device, the other one I will be posting after this. The Xperia Z is probably, Sony's new Android flagship smartphone, ready to take on the likes of the Galaxy S III or HTC's One X (or X+). The Xperia Z, is officially the first smartphone to be announced in 2013 and has a long way to go from here. We still have to wait and see what smartphones the other OEMs out there will be announcing this year. For now, let us just enjoy the beauty and brilliance of the Xperia Z. The device is expected to be launched globally in the 1st quarter of this year for an undisclosed price.
