USA: AT&T's Galaxy S II SkyRocket gets Android 4.0 ICS update

Apparently, it is not only AT&T's Galaxy Note that is getting some Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich treatment but also to the AT&T Galaxy S II SkyRocket. So, it looks like some happy AT&T customers might have got the update already. AT&T says that the update will be administered with the help of Samsung Kies so no OTA updates. But that is cooler than not getting any Ice Cream Sandwich, right? For more information about how to update your Galaxy S II SkyRocket, head over to AT&T. They have instructions on how to get the update there.

USA: AT&T's Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket receives Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread update

AT&T has apparently, according to UberGizmo, started to push an OTA update to the Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket. After being launched recently by AT&T, the carrier has already pushed the Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread update for their version of the Galaxy S II. Since its an OTA update your Skyrocket should notify you for a new software available for download but if you are hesitant, you can check it manually by tapping through Settings > Software Update. The said version of the platform is to fix a bug with regards to voice search on the Nexus S but the reason for this update coming to the Skyrocket is unknown. For those who are already running this version of Android on their Skyrocket, your input on the comments section is appreciated.

USA: HTC Vivid & Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket gets price cuts from AT&T

AT&T slashes the prices of their first 4G LTE smartphones that was available since yesterday. Before I go any further, the price cut actually depends on where you are. Some regions in the US might get that sweet price cut but not everyone gets it, unfortunately. Anyway, the SGS II Skyrocket is now being priced at $149.99 a full $100 off from it's $249.99 launch price. The HTC Vivid is now available for only $99.99 that's $50 off the launch price AT&T has given it. Now since not every part of the US gets the price cut, some of you might still get the higher price. Just enter your ZIP codes when you head to AT&T's website and hope your place is one of those who gets the lower priced Android devices.

USA: AT&T launches the Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket & HTC Vivid

AT&T has officially made two of its first 4G LTE capable smartphones available. The Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket and the HTC Vivid (device specs) were both announced just a few days back and is now available over at AT&T. The SGS II Skyrocket is priced (online) at only $149 (AT&T link) and when you buy it at AT&T stores the previously announced $249.99 price is what you will have to pay for. The HTC Vivid on the other hand is much cheaper and can be yours for only $99.99 (AT&T link). These smartphones are just two of the 6 that AT&T launched today, so stay tuned for the other 4.

USA: AT&T announces their first 4G LTE smartphones - Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket and the HTC Vivid

AT&T announced their first 4G LTE smartphone today, the Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket (long names again) and the HTC Vivid. The two new Android smartphone that AT&T will soon be launching will be sold for $199.99 for the HTC Vivid and $249.99 for the Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket. The HTC Vivid is AT&T's version of the previously announced HTC Raider in South Korea. The Galaxy II Skyrocket on the other hand has been changed in terms of design. The SGS II Skyrocket you see in the photo above is a bit different from what is on Samsung's USA website. The Skyrocket is a bit curvy on the edges and sports a larger screen. Both devices, by the way, will be available in the US in November 6. Anyway, head over the break for the device's specs.
