The LG Optimus LTE2 - the world's first smartphone with 2GB of RAM

A few hours after Samsung proudly showcased the Samsung Galaxy S III, LG came to spoil the party by introducing the LG Optimus LTE2. Now what is in this smartphone that will kill any other smartphone out there? Take a look at the photo! Yes, 2GB of RAM. The device is scheduled to be launched in South Korea first and then in other markets afterwards. The smartphone will run on the latest version of Android, Android 4.0 ICS, and that 2GB RAM is just the show-stopper. It's a first that a 2GB RAM is inside a smartphone, well, that is what LG basically knows what to do, be the first.

Unfortunately though, LG did not share any other important details regarding the Optimus LTE2. Well, they added that this sport LG's "True HD IPS" display. Also, an accessory that allows wireless charging is also available. The camera is also touted to have been improved with faster photo capturing. Arch-enemies forever, LG and Samsung are, and with this device right here, LG might have just stole the show from Samsung.

For the specs though, LG has yet to share them. For now that is all that we know. Head over here to read LG's official press release.
