Google has announced that the fix for that volume bug the Galaxy Nexus has been having will be rolled out next week. It seems that the issue is isolated in Europe, where it is already selling. Seems logical because since the smartphone is not yet available anywhere then nobody outside Europe would be complaining. Anyway, according to Clove, "some customers may be prompted to install the update upon powering up their machine for the first time."
