HP, together with the Folio 13 Ultrabook and their new Pavilion dm4 and dm4 Beats Edition, announced the newly revamped HP Envy line of notebooks. The HP Envy 15, 17, and the 17 3D will all be available starting December 7th and will be priced starting at $1,100, $1,250, and $1,600, respectively.

The HP Envy 15 will be sporting a 15.6" (1366x768) 1080p Radiance Panel, an Intel Core i5-2430M processor, 6GB of RAM, a 500GB HDD, Bluetooth, Intel Wireless Display, and a DVD burner slot. The Envy 15 also sports an HDMI port, DisplayPort (1), 3 USB 3.0 ports, 1 USB 2.0 port, and an 8-cell battery. These specs are for the $1,100 entry-level HP Envy 15.
For the Envy 17 the entry-level specs are an Intel Core i5-2430 processor, 6GB RAM, Bluetooth, WiFi Direct (WiDi), DVD burner, 750GB HDD, a standard Radiance display, and a 6-cell battery. With this variant of the Envy line it will be sporting an extra DisplayPort and an additional USB 3.0 port.
For the Envy 17 3D the entry-level specs are an Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB of RAM, 750GB HDD, a 6-cell battery, Bluetooth, WiDi, Blu Ray drive, and "one pair of active shutter glasses" for the 3D of it all.

- The new HP ENVY 15 and HP ENVY 17 deliver blistering performance and optimal sound experience in a timeless design that includes an all-metal chassis with rounded edges in a classic black and silver finish, accented by subtle red details.

Timeless design, powerful performance
Featuring a new HP Radiance Backlit keyboard, the HP ENVY notebooks provide outstanding illumination using individual LEDs dedicated to each keycap. The keyboard also works with an advanced proximity sensor to illuminate when it detects a user approaching the notebook and deactivate after the user leaves.
With six powerful speakers and a subwoofer, the HP ENVY notebooks deliver an optimal sound experience, featuring Beats Audio, an exclusive, high-performance technology developed by HP and Beats by Dr. Dre.
