Sprint is said to be prepping a side-sliding QWERTY smartphone running on Android codenamed as Gelato Q. The smartphone which is also said to be the LG Optimus Slider LS700 will be coming to Sprint apparently and gets it's first rendered photo. The details regarding the phone is limited. We thank our friends over at Pocketnow for making the render and some of the stuff they know about the device.
"We're expecting this HVGA model to be one of two followups to the wildly successful Optimus One, along with a traditional touchscreen slate whose codename is simply Gelato (and whose model number on Sprint should be LS685). We've already seen evidence that Gelato Q will be hitting Verizon as well, and with LG smartphones finding shelf space on most every carrier these days, we see no reason why one or both of these handsets wouldn't land on all four major operators, as well as many of the smaller and regional ones.
