Kobo unveiled the Vox Android Tablet/Reader

So it seems like the tablet/reader category of devices are really expanding with Kobo's newest tablet/reader they unveiled. Called as the Kobo Vox, it is a 7-incher tablet that runs on Android and like the Kindle Fire, wears a revamped overlay over it to make it look less of an Android smartphone or tablet, for that matter, and more of a reader.

The Kobo Vox features an 800MHz  Freescale iMX51 processor, 8GB of internal storage, 512MB of RAM, and the version of Android that it runs on is 2.3 Gingerbread. The Kobo Vox, if you'd like to call it, is like just any other Android tablets out there that sports a microSD card slot for all you extra storage needs. A built-in speakers comes with the device and the usual connectivity features like WiFi 802.11 b/g/n. The 7" touchscreen display it has packs 400nits of luminescence.

The Kobo Vox  is priced at $199.99 and is be available in the US and in Canada.
