LG announces the LG Optimus XE

LG officially announces a new Android-powered smartphone in the name of the Optimus XE. The smartphone, although it is christened with a press release (in Korean), did not get an exact date when it will be available. Anyway, the Optimus XE is targeted to the high-end part of the market and gets high-end specs, of course.

The LG Optimus XE will be running on Android 2.3 Gingerbread and will sport a 1.2GHz nVidia Tegra 2 dual-core processor, a very bright 700nit IPS touchscreen display (undisclosed size), 1080p of HD video recording, WiFi, Bluetooth, 5MP rear facing camera, a front facing camera, 1GB of RAM, 8GB internal storage,  and a 1,500 mAh battery.
