Nokia officially releases Symbian Anna for the Nokia N8, C7, C6-01, and the E7

Nokia has released Symbian's first major update to the Nokia N8, C7, C6-01, and the E7 starting today. The update will bring in lots of new and cool stuff into your Nokia smartphones. Aside from that Symbian Anna is here to completely give your device a complete make over and a user experience improvement.

In this update an improved text input is now available in the form of a portrait QWERTY keyboard. Other stuff that comes with Symbian Anna are an improved browsing experience with faster and an easier to use browser, enhanced maps, business features, and the update activates the NFC chip in the Nokia C7.

How do you get the update? You need to connect your devices to your computers with the Ovi Suite or you can also run the SW Update app on your smartphone. Here's Nokia's note about the update.
"This is a large download, so for speed and reliability, the Ovi Suite method is best. We do not recommend that you attempt to update over-the-air unless you have a strong and reliable WiFi connection."
The countries that will receive the updates this week are: Belgium, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, Finland, Germany, India, Indonesia, Kuwait, Norway, Poland, Russia, Sweden, Thailand, UAE, the UK, and more.

For those who are in the Philippines, YugaTech has reported that the update is also available in the country! So enjoy your Symbian Anna powered devices!
