HP's own tablet challenger, the HP TouchPad, now gets the WebOS 3.0.2 update. The new software is expected to bring in performance and stability improvements to the tablet. We all know that the TouchPad did not really get a good impression with WebOS 3.0, reports say that the software was laggy and kind of slow in most places. So, this is what HP is doing, giving it a boost to give the tablet and the user a better performance.
WebOS 3.0.2 will also offer a lo of improvements to a lot of stuff in the platform like the calendar, email, music, photos videos, and web browser applications.
While HP is giving the tablet a boost in performance the company also slashed $50 to the price of the tablet, probably to boost the tablets sales. The price cut will be until September 10th and from today until that day the HP TouchPad 16GB version will now be only $449 and for the 32GB only at $549.
Here is what 3.0.2 of WebOS will bring into the TouchPad.
