The Samsung Admire could be MetroPCS' might just be it's first Android 2.3 Gingerbread smartphone offering. What I mean about that is, that it might be the carrier's first handset that will run on Gingerbread right out from the box. Photos of a Samsung SCH-R720 or the Samsung Admire is up in the internet for our viewing pleasure. The phone is said to be running on Gingerbread and sports a 3.5" HVGA touchscreen display, a 3.2MP rear facing camera, TouchWiz UI, and an 800MHz processor.
Base on the specs of the phone, it is safe to say that this will be positioned as a mid-range handset that will be added to MetroPCS' Android smartphone portfolio. It is reported that the phone will be offered for $149.99 and is said to launch sometime in October or November.
