AT&T announced via Facebook that they are starting to take pre-orders of the Facebook-centric smartphone from HTC, the HTC Status. Announced by AT&T in late June, the HTC Status will be their version of the HTC ChaCha, which is what the phone is known everywhere else outside the US. Its a candybar, touchscreen smartphone that features a dedicated Facebook button located at the lower part of the handset.
Head over to AT&T and get your pre-orders ready to be one of the first to get this Facebook loving smartphone.
Just for update's sake, the announcement that AT&T posted on their Facebook page was taken down, for reasons I do not know. Anyway, the pre-order site is still up.
