Twitter have finally launched their own photo sharing services. It was first heard and was unconfirmed, but today is the day that they have officially announced it. The photo sharing service will now allow people using Twitter web as their tweeting platform (those who does not use third-party twitter clients) to share and tweet photos straight from Twitter.com.
The photos are hosted by Photobucket and since the feature have just started rolling out to all the Twitter users out there, this feature will not be available to everyone at the same time. I still do not have mine but I can wait. Also, since this will be Twitter's official photo sharing service, expect official Twitter apps on different platforms (Android, BlackBerry, iOS, etc) to be updated which should include the new feature.
"Millions of people share photos on Twitter every day. We're going to make that easier than ever. Over the next several weeks, we'll be releasing a feature to upload a photo and attach it to your Tweet right from Twitter.com. And of course, you'll soon be able to easily do this from all of our official mobile apps. A special thanks to our partnerPhotobucket for hosting these photos behind the scenes."
