Samsung is rumored to be developing the Samsung Galaxy S II Plus

Rumors from the mill are telling us that Samsung is developing the so called Galaxy S II Plus. Why plus? Well, it is said to be carrying a 1.4GHz dual-core processor and Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread when launched. We know that the Galaxy S II is yet to be available globally, and it seems that even before the smartphone gets to all those markets worldwide a new one is set to be released.

Popherald is responsible for outing this rumor whether this holds water or not it seems Samsung is readying a beefier superphone just to make sure that their offering will not be thrown down by the "upcoming" iPhone 5. You remember when the iPad 2 launch? And Sammy had to redesign their Galaxy Tab 10.1v to make it thinner than the iPad 2 and even lighter? I believe it is happening for the US version or should I say the differently named Galaxy S II's in the US. The handset is believed to be launched in September, the same month that the iPhone 5 is rumored to be launched (well, at least one of the months).

Other details of the Galaxy S II Plus includes the original Galaxy S II's specs like 1GB of RAM, Super AMOLED Plus (I believe) displays, and of course since the handset will be running on Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread it will have Google Talk and video support built in it.

Anyway, I will be blogging more about the development of this news when I have them. For now this is what we all have.
