PHIL: Samsung Galaxy S II priced in the Philippines - Php 29,990

To all the Android fans in the Philippines! Good news comes to you today! YugaTech just got word from Samsung that the Galaxy S II superphone will be carrying an SRP of, nope not 30,000 or above, but for only Php 29,990. Remember when LG launched their own dual-core smartphone in the country? They put an eye popping price of the LG Optimus 2X, right (Php 27,990)? So, that would be the price that other phone makers should try to compete with in the Philippines, like the HTC Sensation and the Galaxy S II.

That is why Samsung have put an SRP of the GS II that low, how low? That 29,990 magic number is in fact lower than the SRP that the Samsung Galaxy S I (GT-i9000) was pegged at in the Philippines when it launched. And of course, like the original Galaxy S, this will be exclusively be offered by Globe Telecom but only for a limited time. YugaTech is saying for only about 2 or 3 months, also like what happened to the GS I.

With regards to the date when the phone will be officially launched, we have no word for it. But at least we have the official price from Samsung.
