Facebook now testing a new feature - "Happening Now"

One of the reasons why Facebook is in such success right now is the fact that they always give us great new features. Even if those new features are not really what we want and we don't have any choice but to get it and just live with it. Facebook is always quick on the chase and today, the social networking behemoth is testing a new feature to some Facebookers. The feature is known as "Happening Now".

The "Happening Now" feature is actually a new side bar on your Home page of your Facebook. It shows what your friends have liked, who they have added as friends, and check-ins. Apparently, for everyone who has a Facebook account, know that these are the stuff that are almost always missed. These are the things that show up on your profile and wall as recent activities, aren't they?

What I believe Facebook is doing is that they are trying to put all of these stuff in a single panel on your Home page so that you are always up to date on what your friends are doing. I thought the time I read this post this was going to be Facebook's answer to Twitter's userstream API but it wasnt. Well, I can't imagine my Home page to update me ASAP it would be like every second a new thing comes out. But anyway, for those who are lucky enough to test this new feature good for you! Apparently, I am not one of you.
