Android 3.1 Honeycomb announced heading to Verizon today for the Motorola Xoom

Google have finally unveiled Android Honeycomb 3.1, apparently an update to the 3.0 Honeycomb tablet platform. Since it's an update new things are in the 3.1 version of Honeycomb. Stuff like resizable homescreen widgets, addition support for input devices like keyboards, mice, trackpads, and whatnots (like a gaming controller).  Also, the update will give a better user experience which will come in the form of lesser crashes and better multi-tasking support for a more fluid transitions between apps. The new version of the paltform will also come to Google TV which will be available via an automatic OTA update.

This version of Honeycomb is exclusively available starting today to the Motorola Xoom (Verizon). But DroidLife have noticed that Verizon did not update their support page with regards to this situation.
