Acer unveils their own ChromeBook will cost only $349

Of course, Acer does not want to be left behind when it comes to laptops so they also unveiled their own ChromeBook, the Acer ChromeBook. It was said that the Cr-48 (the test Chrome OS laptop) was made by Acer so this would come with no surprise. The Acer ChromeBook like Samsung's Series 5, also gets that ChromeBook spec which equates to an Intel Atom N570 processor, 16GB of SSD, "instant on", 2 USB ports, a webcam, HDMI, and a 6.5 hour battery life. This laptop will be selling for a lesser price of $349 compared to the Series 5 and it also comes with an optional global 3G version. Of course the 3G version would require a bit more of your bucks. The ChromeBook will also be available for pre-order on the same day that's on June 15th over at Amazon and Best Buy.

  • Intel® AtomTM Dual-Core Processor
