USA: Verizon Wireless officially gives the Droid Charge its price tag and launch date

The Verizon bound Samsung Droid Charge finally has its tag price and launch date. Verizon, themselves announced that the Droid Charge, a 4G LTE capable device, will cost $299 with a 2-year contract with the US' largest network carrier. Also, Verizon is scheduled to launch the device on April 28th. Note that the price of this device is a bit higher than that of the HTC Thunderbolt 4G and I do not know why.
