US Cellular's own version of the Samsung Galaxy S, the Samsung Mesmerize, is now getting the Android 2.2 Froyo update! Samsung announced this via a tweet. The update, unfortunately, will not be OTA (Over-The-Air) so you need to have your PCs in order for you to get the update.
The Samsung Mesmerize, like all the other Galaxy S-es, were shipped with Android 2.1 Eclair on board. The update will obviously bring a much better user experience to Galaxy S owners and will have have Adobe Flash capabilities as included in the 2.2 Froyo version of the platform.
Since the update will not be OTA-ed, you need to have the latest version of Samsung Kies on your PCs.
