Intel have officially unveiled their 2nd Generation Intel Sandy Bridge chips in the Philippines. It's apparent that these are the revamped and redesigned Cougar Point chipsets. If you can remember the first wave of these chips were found to have a design flaw which of course caused a bit of chaos here and there.
Of course, those flawed chipsets was also able to arrive in the Philippine shores but sales was obviously stopped. This time around, Intel is pretty sure that what they are selling are the fixed and redesigned chips that would give buyers peace of mind.
With regards to the processors' pricing Intel said that they will be putting the same tag price to the 2nd gen chips as to the 1st gen chips.
