802.11 a/b/g/n are the current standards of Wireless Fidelity. With the N network giving us the fastest wireless connectivity speeds of up to 450 Mbps. But the N standard is still lingering in the Mbps speeds, what about some Gbps love over there?
According to a report by Cnet, a research firm called In-Stat is expecting to release the first WiFi 802.11ac draft into the market in 2011. 2012 is the target year when increased rates are expected to be in consumer devices and when these devices get released.
So are we really ready for some Gbps network speeds? How about our internet connection speeds?
