Unveiled during the Consumer Electronics Show 2011, the Samsung 9 Series notebook is the direct challenger to the latest MacBook Air. What is the notebook actually challenging the MacBook Air? Everything, from the specs even to the thinness. The 9 Series is thinner though. Today, Samsung Hub got hold of the price and a date when the device will actually start selling.
Samsung Hub reports that the laptop will be released in South Korea from this month for 249,000 Won ($2208). Other markets like in SE Asia, Europe, Russia (if that is what CIS means), and in the US will be getting the laptop by next month. You shouldn't be worried with the price though. I believe that this will be selling with the same price range with the MacBook Air, we really can't rely on direct currency conversions.
