Motorola have announced at MWC 2011, that a WiFi only version of their upcoming tablet, the Xoom, will be coming to the European market. Remember the post I had about the WiFi only Xoom? I bet this will be a version that will be sold globally. The tablet (WiFi only) is expected to arrive in Europe in the 2nd quarter of 2011. Update: Motorola CEO, Sanjay Jha confirmed that the WiFi only Xoom will not only be coming to the European market but also in the US. He stated while speaking to the press that the WiFi only Honeycomb tablet will be coming into the US shores courtesy, of course, of Verizon Wireless.
"...a version of the XOOM with cellular data connectivity will be available from Verizon Wireless for an unsubsidized price of $799. " - BGRBGR have noted that the WiFi only version will be priced right around $600.
