[Local] Globe intros PowerSurf! the new version of SuperSurf? [Updated]

I do not know if Globe outs SuperSurf and replaced it with this new PowerSurf, probably right? This new promo or rate also includes Globe's per minute charging. The new PowerSurf, unlike the SuperSurf, does not limit you to a 1 day unlimited internet browsing it also includes PowerSurf15, which is a 60 minutes/P15.

How to register with Globe's new PowerSurf? The code you need to txt for registration, is in bold.

PowerSurf15 - P15/60minutes (1 hour)
PowerSurf30 - P30/180minutes (3 hours)
PowerSurf50 - P50/300minutes (5 hours)

Send to 8888

You need to have a P1 maintaining balance in order to use either PowerSurf30 and PowerSurf50. This just a promo, said my source, up until June 30 2011, only. Well, maybe Globe is still trying this new offering and will eventually extend the "promo", just like unlimited texting, it's not a value added service but they keep on extending the "promo". Since PowerSurf does not offer the 1 day unlimited broadband rate which SuperSurf offers, then I believe Globe did not take out SuperSurf50.

Update: A friend of mine asked me about Globe's Powersurf that clearly my post cannot answer. He asked about the validity period of the promo (when it actually expires after registration) and if the promo is available for postpaid subscribers. The latter, I still cannot answer but here's the validity period of each Powersurf variants.

Powersurf15: 1 day mobile surfing only

Powesurf30: 1 day mobile surfing only

Powersurf50: 3 days mobile surfing only

I got the information directly from Globe's website.
