T-Mobile have a lot of announcements today. First was the Samsung Vibrant 4G, by T-Mobile USA himself said that it will be coming soon. Not only that, he also said that the T-Mobile Sidekick will also be getting some 4G treatment. So what's next? Well, T-Mobile USA's Cheif Marketing Officer, Cole Brodman said that the Samsung Vibrant will get the much awaited Android 2.2. Froyo update "tomorrow"
The delayed roll out of the said update is said to be caused by quality control and timing issues. Regardless of what caused the delay, all the Vibrant owners, I think , only needs the update to Froyo, finally.
And the marketing officer said that T-Mobile's future Android updates will now be "more prompt" from the current situation, I hope so.
So, if tomorrow, if some of the Vibrant users out there who will be getting the update, then the Vibrant will be the first Galaxy S (Stateside) that will be getting the Android 2.2 Froyo OS then.
Oh wait, Endgadget said.. "we'll probably hear some fascinating, captivating and totally epic news about Froyo any minute now." So basically "tomorrow" means today in the US.
No mention of how the update will be rolled out, if it is OTA or over Samsung Kies, but just try both.
