LG Optimus 2x and Optimus Black listed by Amazon Germany for €499

Amazon Germany have listed two of the greatest smartphones from LG the LG Optimus Black (P970) and the LG Optimus 2x (P990). Both are priced for 499.00 Euros and both run on Android 2.2 Froyo.




As a refresher, the LG Optimus 2X (named as the LG Optimus Speed by Amazon) is the world's first dual-core smartphone. It is currently available for sale in it's home turf and following the smartphone's availability roadmap, Europe is the next market that LG will be making the device available for sale. Below are both smartphone's specs and links that will lead you to each smartphone's Amazon pages.

LG Optimus 2X (Speed) specs:
  • Android 2.2 Froyo
  • 1 GHz nVidia Tegra 2 dual-core processsor 
  • 4"  WVGA touch screen display
  • 8 MP rear facing camera
  • 1.3 MP front facing camera 
  • Full HD video recording at 1080p
  • 1500 mAh battery
  • 8 GB of internal storage
  • 32 GB of external storage via a microSD card slot

The LG Optimus Black on the other hand is nothing lesser than its brother because LG boasts it as the world's thinnest smartphone and the smartphone with the brightest display.

LG Optimus Black specs:
  • Android 2.2 Froyo
  • 4" touch screen display with LG's NOVA screen technology
    • 700 nit of brightness 
      • Normal laptop brightness range from 200 - 300 nit 
      • consumes less power (50% lesser than other AMOLED displays)
  • 9.2 mm thin (6.0 mm thinnest part) and weights only 192 g
  •  LG's Optimus UI 2.0
  •  WiFi Direct certified (World's first device to have WiFi Direct)
  •  5 MP rear facing camera 
  •  2 MP front facing camera (world's first)
  •  WiFi
  • GPS 
  • 1500 mAh battery


The phones are not yet available to buy though.
