Yes, Verizon and Apple have finally announced the much awaited landing of the iPhone to America's largest network carrier. The iPhone 4 which is expected to be available with the cool Verizon logo on it next month. They have announced a non LTE iPhone which supports Verizon's CDMA network, though, oh well.
By the looks of it (photo) the iPhone 4 that will be heading over at Verizon will be the same iPhone 4 that is being sold and have made success with AT&T for almost a year now. Tech blogs are expecting that the devices that will be bought from the network is the phone that has the antenna problem of it all fixed.
For some official stuff. February 10th is the day you want to wake up early if you want your iPhone with a Verizon logo on it, since on that day Verizon will launch the iPhone 4 that is officially with Verizon's turf, watch out AT&T. Officially too, Verizon and Apple have been working together since 2008 in order to produce a device that will support Verizon's network (CDMA in this case). Priced at $200 for the 16 GB variant and at $300 for the 32 GB iPhone 4.
"Just to clarify and put any wild rumors to bed, the phone is Verizon 3G (EV-DO) only, no 4G data or GSM roaming. It's not a world phone or an AT&T + Verizon phone, it's just a Verizon phone." - Endgadget
The story is currently developing so if anything pops up that is interesting I'll blog about it, count me on that.

Head over the break for updates.
Update: Good news for those who are waiting to get their hands on Verizon's iPhone, too bad for AT&T iPhone 4 owners. But Tim Cook said that the design of the antenna was altered because of a new network that the device is suppose to support (CDMA). No word if the design is about hardware fixes or whatnot. - Endgadget
Update: "Verizon and Apple have just announced that the new CDMA iPhone 4 will act as a mobile 3G hotspot for up to five devices." - Endgadget
Update: TUAW reported that the iPhone from Verizon will not be able to simultaneously handle voice and data. The reason is that the current CDMA network of Verizon is not making it possible. This will surely be a big selling point for AT&T
Update: Verizon's iPhone have a slightly relocated buttons as evidenced by the photo taken by Endgadget. This means new cases and bumper cases. This is due to the "new design" of the antenna that the Verizon iPhone has.
