So I asked, when will the famous Samsung Galaxy S smartphone get a successor? Does it need to have a successor this early taking into consideration that the smartphone is so popular it already sold 9.3 million units globally and is currently the most popular Android device in the market today?
Samsung have announced Monday that the next Samsung Galaxy S will be unveiled during the 2011 Mobile World Congress, Chorun reported. We have already heard reports that the next Galaxy S will bear a codename of GT i9100 which is set to be a dual-core powered handset. The handset is also said to be running on Android 2.3 Gingerbread which Samsung has knowledge of since they are the company responsible for the Google Nexus S. So what can we expect from the next Galaxy S? Better performance? Better design? More power of course courtesy of the dual-core processor. Let's see, when MWC comes.
