With the announcement of the Google Nexus S, everyone is asking, when or will my Android 2.2 Froyo smartphone get the 2.3 Gingerbread update? Samsung Galaxy S owners, at least those who have the i9000, are one of them asking will they be getting the update?
Since the Galaxy S i9000 have started with the Android 2.2 Froyo update and I think almost all of them are already running on 2.2, then it is totally alright to expect a 2.3 Gingerbread update right? No worries, Samsung Mobile India tweeted about it, the fact that the Galaxy S will eventually get the Android 2.3 Gingerbread it deserves. Unfortunately, no word on when that update is going to be happening or will start rolling out. This is the least we can get, for now, that eventually the Samsung Galaxy S i9000 will get the Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
