Sprint announces 3 Android phones for October - Samsung Transform, Sanyo Zio, and LG Optimus S

Samsung Transform
During the CTIA, Sprint introduced 3 Android smartphone that'll be available within the month of October. First we have the Samsung Transform. It runs on Android 2.1 and will get an Android 2.2 upgrade. It looks like a smaller Samsung Epic 4G, doesn't it? It has a 3.5 inch HVGA touch screen display and includes, an 800MHz processor, 256MB RAM, 512 ROM, front-facing camera (VGA), a rear facing 3.2 MP camera, WiFi, and GPS. Oh, as you can see it has a slide out full QWERTY keyboard. The tag price, $149.99 on contract after a $100 mail-in rebate and will be available on October 10.



Sanyo Zio
Then the Sanyo Zio, its an Android smartphone too, running on Android 2.1 Eclair. Will be priced at $99.99 dollars on contract and will also be available on October 10. It features a 3.5 inch touch screen display, GPS, WiFi, and a 3.2 MP camera with autofocus.

LG Optimus S
Then lastly, the LG Optimus S. Its the only phone out of the three that runs on Android 2.2 Froyo when shipped. It also features a 3.2 inch HVGA touch screen display, WiFi, GPS, and a 3.2 MP camera. The phone will be launched on October 30th for $49.99 on contract after a $100 mail-in rebate.
