$1 Billion dollar home goes to the 4th richest man in the world

The world's most expensive house pegged at $1 Billion is Mukesh Ambani's residence. Mukesh, being the world's 4th richest person can afford it not to mention his $73 Million Boeing Business Jet and a Airbus plane for his wife at $60 Million. I think he ain't satisfied with the word million, so he invests on a billion house. The house is located at Altamount Road, South Mumbai, India that towers at 173 meters and an area of 400,000 square feet.

The house features a health spa, swimming pools (Yup plural), a theater than can seat 50 people, a dancing and ballroom studio. Well, I think the only thing that's missing with this house is an airport to allow his and his wife's planes to land an park on to since the house have 3 helipads and its own air traffice control. For the cars, the house has a 6 floor car park, maybe constructed underneath the structure, plus a 4 storey hanging garden. The whole house needs 600 people to help maintain and keep the house fully operational, Mukesh knows how to alleviate unemployement.

The structure has 27 floors in total, probably and I wouldn't even doubt it, that an elevator is installed in the house. With that height and all those floors? The 27 floors equates to 60 floors if all of them are in regular height.

Designed and constructed by an American architecture firm Perkins and Will & Hirsch Bedner Associates and took them 7 years to complete the project. Reports said that the structure can withstand an earthquake with a magnitude of 8 on the Richter scale and can survive bomb explosions. Talk about bomb proof houses.

"At 53, Mukesh Ambani has a personal wealth of about $27 billion and is all set to become the world's richest by 2014."
