We have already received reports that Acer will be creating a tablet thats 7 - 10 inch. This time the report said that they are prepping to create a 5 inch tablet also running on Android 3.0 Gingerbread. The report also added that it might start rolling out on the first quarter of 2011. The alleged 5 inch tablet will have a "handset and tablet PC" functionality. Which I think is a tablet from Acer in response not to Apple's iPad but to the Samsung Galaxy Tab and the Dell Streak.
Digitimes said that Acer is still deciding on which CPU they will be embedding this tablet, should it be a Qualcomm Snapdragon of an NVIDIA Tegra 2.
Digitimes added that Acer will be releasing an Intel-based tablet running on Windows 7 to test the whole project of its usability and user friendliness.
