The new Asus TAICHI ultrabook/tablet is a dual-screen device that turns from an ultrabook into a tablet simply by opening the device. The way I understand it, when you open the device its an ultrabook, but when you close it you now face the rear display of the display which then turns the whole thing into a tablet. Asus gives would-be-buyers the option between an 11.6" Taichi or a 13.3" one. Both displays, by the way , are FHD displays and the rear part of the display is the only part that has touchscreen functionality (which actually makes sense). The Taichi sports Intel's 3rd generation iCore processors, which means Ivy Bridges. Head over the break for more information.

Sony Vaio Z series gets Intel Ivy Bridge CPU
To continue with what I have left you off, Sony announced the new Vaio Z Series laptops. The line gets a CPU bump with an Intel Ivy Bridge processor and a dedicated GPU in a redesigned and, I should say, a very sexy shell. As for pricing, the Z series will be priced starting at $1,600. Enjoy more of the Vaio Z's photos after the break.

The Sony Vaio S13 and S13p
Second stop for the "lots of new laptops" from Sony is the Vaio S13 and the S13p. This line of laptops from the Japanese company is packed with an Intel Ivy Bridge processor and is priced starting at $900. The Vaio S13 does not have any GPU in it, I mean no dedicated GPU chip but has integrated graphics thanks to the Intel Core i3 or i5 Ivy Bridge. On the other hand, the S13p will get an nVidia GPU with up to 2GB of VRAM. This line is lightweight, relatively, since it is constructed using magnesium, aluminum, and carbon fibre. Head over the break for more photos of the laptop.
