WebOS 3.0.4 for the HP TouchPad now available

HP's ill-fated TouchPad tablet running on WebOS gets an software update bringing the tablet's platform up to version 3.0.4. The update is available OTA and for more info about it click here. This just shows that HP is not completely forgetting the platform and the tablet and they shouldn't because TouchPad owners would go crazy if they did.

TouchPad users who will update to WebOS 3.0.4 should expect these new features and things:
  • A new Camera app for photos and video
  • The ability to pair non-webOS phones to your TouchPad, so you can answer calls on your TouchPad. Pairing with non-webOS Bluetooth keyboards has also been streamlined.
  • Support for OGG Vorbis music files
  • Online/offline messaging status support.
Aside from these new things, you should also expect a better overall performance from your TouchPad when you update. Enhancements are also expected which includes support for accelerometer events in Adobe Flash Player.
