AT&T announced that on September 18th the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play 4G will be available, or simply they will launch the device on that day. AT&T's version of the Xperia Play 4G will, apparently, be a 4G-enable handset and will be priced for only $49.99 with a 2-year contract. Verizon is already offering the same handset but they are pricing it at $99.99.
